New Aircraft of the Future?!

This is the AWWA Sky Whale. It is from a Spanish designer called Oscar Vinals. With this 3 decker plane, air travel could become extraordinary. It looks like a Sci-Fi space shuttle. It could be the next generation for planes. Now bigger means better for air travelling. The advent of “jumbo” designs, characterised by Boeing’s 747, meant more passengers per flight, and therefore cheaper seats.

It says that this plane would have swivelling engines for shorter take-offs. The plane could be made to do vertical take-offs.
Vinals says that flying in this plane could feel like flying in your own 'theatre seat.'

How great would this be?

Please tell me if you have comments about the plane and what your experience would be like.
Thanks!

  2. This concept plane is called the AWWA Sky Whale and it's the brainchild of Spanish designer Oscar ViƱals. Should it ever leave the ground, the three-floor aircraft would hold 755 passengers and be powered by four large hybrid engines. The concept plane was designed with current and future technologies in mind, including micro-solar panels that could charge the engines, self-healing skin with adaptable opacity, active wings to reduce turbulence, and advanced alloys, ceramic and fiber composite materials. Its engines could rotate up to 45 degrees in a vertical position to assist during take-off and landing, thus reducing the distance of the runway. It will seat about 755 passengers across three levels or floors; the first class on top with "sky views" and "all conceivable luxuries for a trip in an airplane like this," business class in the middle, and tourist class at the bottom "with all the comfort and space to have a pleasant flight."

Saw this on CNN.com the other day. Best jet design I've ever seen. So tired of the flying tubes. Lift bodies are the future.

    1. Hey Sayatan, did you read the original post? Because a lot of the information you shared is already in the post. Perhaps your comment can be more of a conversation with Suk Woo. Ask him some questions, talk about a topic you both obviously love--airplanes.
